Bio: Diego Nuñez is a seasoned immigration attorney with over 15 years of experience in complex immigration and nationality law matters. He currently serves as an Attorney Advisor with the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he contributes to advancing fair and efficient immigration adjudication.
Prior to joining the DOJ, Diego was a Senior Associate Attorney at JLW Immigration Law Group in Austin, Texas, where he focused on employment-based and family-based immigration cases. His extensive tenure at Peek & Toland Law Firm, where he served as an Associate Attorney for over eight years, further cemented his reputation as a trusted advocate for immigrants navigating removal defense, waivers, and adjustment of status. Earlier in his career, Diego founded and led the Law Office of Diego Nuñez and worked with Monty Partners, LLP, concentrating on immigration litigation and client advocacy.
Diego earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as a Student Director for the Immigration Clinic, and his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota.
