Are you an undocumented immigrant who came into the U.S. as a child?
If so, then you may be eligible for administrative relief from deportation, or deferred action, thanks to President Obama’s executive action on immigration reform in 2014.
The dedicated Austin & San Antonio DACA lawyers at Peek Law Group are experienced in assisting eligible immigrants with applying for DACA and can help you eliminate the stress of attempting the process yourself.

DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, offers protection for young immigrants who have come to the U.S. as children. Deferred action gives eligible individuals the opportunity to live and work within the United States without the fear of being deported. There are a number of requirements an immigrant must meet before they’re deemed qualified for DACA.
You may apply for the expanded DACA program starting on February 20, 2015. In preparation, you should gather documents such as financial, medical, and school records, in addition to documents that prove your length of stay in the U.S. If you have ever been arrested, get a copy of your criminal record from your state or from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Also, get a disposition letter that confirms the judge’s decision for each case.
As for fees, bring a total of $465 – that’s $380 for the application and $85 for fingerprints. Unfortunately, waivers are not available. However, you may be exempted from paying fees under very specific circumstances.
Immigrants come to the United States to improve opportunities for themselves and their families. Making a living as a young immigrant is often especially difficult. DACA will provide you with a work permit and allow you to remain in the States as a documented immigrant. A deferred action lawyer will increase your chances of receiving the best possible result.
