Angela Barajas Salcido is a dedicated legal professional and Juris Doctor candidate at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where she is set to graduate in May 2025. Throughout her academic career, Angela has distinguished herself through academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to service, earning multiple honors including the Dean’s Scholarship, the Law Alumni Leadership for Service Award, and recognition as a Woman in Law Leader.
Angela brings hands-on experience in immigration law and client advocacy. As a Law Clerk at Quintana & Barajas, PLLC, she conducted legal research, prepared USCIS immigration filings, and drafted critical legal documents including motions, asylum briefs, and prosecutorial discretion requests. Her work reflects a deep understanding of complex immigration processes and a commitment to helping clients navigate challenging legal situations.
She further developed her advocacy skills through the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic at St. Mary’s, where she gained practical experience in removal defense, client communication, and courtroom procedures. Angela has also contributed to legal scholarship as a Staff Writer for The Scholar: Law Review on Race and Social Justice, where she researched and wrote on issues impacting underserved communities.
In addition to her legal work, Angela has demonstrated strong leadership as President of the Student Bar Association, where she worked closely with faculty and administration, organized large-scale events, and represented the student body at the highest level.
