Attorney at Law – Peek Law Group
Natalia Chavez is a licensed attorney in both Venezuela and the United States, bringing over a decade of legal experience and a uniquely international perspective to her immigration and criminal defense practice.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Ms. Chavez earned her law degree at just 20 years old and went on to complete a master’s in law by age 23. In response to political persecution and the country’s socio-economic crisis, she relocated to Mexico and later to the United States in 2018.
She graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2022. Prior to and throughout her formal U.S. legal education, she gained invaluable experience working with immigrant communities and developed a passion for helping individuals navigate the complexities of the American legal system — especially those facing systemic disadvantages.
Ms. Chavez is fluent in both English and Spanish and is deeply committed to delivering culturally competent, empathetic, and effective legal representation. She is known for her fierce advocacy, practical problem-solving, and client-centered approach.
At Peek Law Group, she focuses primarily on:
- Removal defense
- Humanitarian-based immigration (VAWA, asylum, U visas, SIJS)
- Bond and detention matters
- Family-based immigration
- Criminal-immigration overlap (“crimmigration”) defense
Ms. Chavez brings lived experience to the work she does. As an immigrant herself, she understands the emotional weight and legal complexity of these cases. Her personal journey has shaped a practice rooted in compassion, integrity, and resilience.
She is passionate about mentoring young attorneys and advocating for greater representation of Latinas in the legal profession. She also regularly collaborates with community organizations and consular offices across Texas to provide education and outreach on immigrant rights.
When she’s not in the courtroom or meeting with clients, Ms. Chavez enjoys spending time with her son, staying active in her faith, reading and volunteering with immigrant supporting non profits and the Texas juvenile justice department
